When researching the 2024 election, Jai noticed something missing: factual, accessible news that was easy to find and available where people actually consume information. And when good coverage existed, newsrooms often lacked the diversity and perspectives of the communities they served.

The Challenge We Face

Local news is in crisis. As consumer habits have shifted toward social platforms and short-form content, traditional business models have collapsed. Social media followers and advertising alone can't sustain quality journalism.
